Coconut oil in its solid state should be snow-white in color. In liquid form it is transparent Gray or yellow. The natural state of the oil is a liquid consistency in the summer. Leaving the oil in a cool place (e.g. refrigerator) will cause it to solidify.

Coconut oil is obtained by pressing and heating the pulp of coconut palm fruit. It has a natural, white color, and at temperatures above 20-25°C it resembles curdled fat. Refined coconut oil is devoid of the coconut smell. It is the most universal and has a longer shelf life than other types of coconut oils (e.g. unrefined). It is very durable and resistant to high temperatures. Thanks to this, it can be stored in almost any conditions.

Coconut oil has many uses in cosmetics, but it is used on the largest scale in the kitchen, where it replaces many traditional, unhealthy fats. In the kitchen, it is great for frying, baking, stewing, or as an addition to soups, all kinds of dishes or cocktails. It is also used in cosmetics as a daily body and hair care product. Coconut oil does not contain oxidants, making it much healthier than popular oils used in the kitchen. Coconut oil is a non-drying oil and after opening, it should be used within a year.
